Besscare is a European media platform covering home solar, battery storage, and EV charging. We publish reviews, price benchmarks, and practical tools for homeowners. This page explains how we work, how we are funded, and how we keep our editorial content separate from commercial interests.
Every product score and rating published on Besscare is determined by our editorial team alone. Scores are based on documented specifications, hands-on testing where possible, installer feedback, and long-term performance data from real installations. We lock scores at the time of publication and do not revise them retroactively to favour a commercial partner.
Advertisers, sponsors, and manufacturers have no input into scores, rankings, or review conclusions. We do not accept payment in exchange for a specific score, a higher ranking, or a positive verdict. If a product fails in the field or a manufacturer changes its warranty terms, we report that independently and update our guidance accordingly.
Besscare carries advertising and sponsored placements to fund its operations. Every sponsored article, banner, newsletter placement, or video is clearly labelled with a visible “Sponsored” or “Advertisement” tag. There is no native advertising disguised as editorial content.
We maintain a strict separation between sponsored placements and editorial content. Sponsored posts are produced by the advertiser or by our commercial team, and they are never written by the editorial staff who produce reviews and scores. If a piece of content is sponsored, it will never appear in our product review sections or influence our scoring methodology.
All Besscare tools are free for consumers, and they will remain free. This includes our Quote Check service, which reviews installer quotes line-by-line; Orphan Rescue, which helps owners of discontinued or orphaned battery systems; and our Claim Assistant, which guides users through warranty and RMA processes.
These tools are funded by advertising and by fees paid by manufacturers or installers who want to be listed in our directories. Those fees never influence the output of the tools. A paid listing does not improve a quote review, and an unpaid installer is never penalised in our assessments.

Our editorial method is built on document review and field verification. When we audit an installer quote, we check each line item against current European market prices, manufacturer list prices, and typical installation labour rates. We flag inflated prices, unnecessary components, and missing warranty details. We also track after-sale performance by collecting follow-up data from users who installed systems we reviewed.
We verify warranty and RMA claims by contacting manufacturers directly and reviewing official terms and conditions. Our per-country price benchmarks are compiled from real quotes submitted by users, installer price lists, and public data from European energy agencies. All sources are dated and linked in the relevant articles. If a source is no longer available, we note the date it was last accessed.

How we produce content — BessCare articles are compiled by our editorial system from public sources and market data, then reviewed and approved by our responsible editor before publication. Sponsored and press-release content is labelled separately and is not part of this workflow.
BessCare is published by the same owner as BessRe, a service provider in the energy-storage sector. BessCare does not sell services to the brands it covers, and commercial relationships are disclosed where relevant.
