This benchmark exists because nobody publishes what C&I storage actually costs. Our job is to replace the “it depends” with a number you can check — and to tell you exactly how we got it.
How the data is collected
- Reader tenders (anonymised) — buyers paste the key lines of real quotes (kWh/kW, total price, warranty, LTSA, availability guarantee). We strip company and installer names before anything is stored or published.
- Public award notices — published tender results and framework awards, cited with source and date.
- Supplier list prices — only where independently verifiable; always flagged as list, not transacted.
Sample & currency rules
- Medians are published only when a segment has ≥8 anonymised data points; below that we show a range with an explicit sample size, never a fake median.
- All prices are €/kWh installed, excl. VAT, normalised to turnkey scope (battery + PCS + BMS + commissioning).
- Outliers are not silently dropped — any point removed is disclosed with the reason.
- Last update is stamped on every table. Data older than 90 days is marked stale until refreshed.

These are the editorial v0 frame from public sources — to be replaced by measured medians as anonymised tenders accumulate. Indicative, not advice.
Country × segment matrix
The full quarterly matrix (country × segment, with sample size per cell) is available as a downloadable table. We publish the country split as soon as any single country reaches the ≥8-point threshold; until then countries are grouped (Benelux / DACH / Nordics / Southern EU / CEE).
